SALADS We're doing a trial run on FAMILY SIZE SALADS for all your social-distance BBQ SIDE-DISH needs. We're trying to figure out the logistics on the fly, and we won't compromise on freshness, so going forward, pre-orders will likely need to be made by Tuesday for Friday/Saturday pickup only. We're hoping this will be an all-summer-long offering.
We will have a full salad menu up as soon as we can,

Stage 2 is happening!
We're very excited for what this means for our small business friends and neighbours, but we're also very wary of what this means for us moving forward. We've been loving the pace of things on the Danforth and in the shop. We love that things have slowed down a bit, and that people have been (in our experience) moving through the world with a little more grace, patience, humility, and humanity. We know that the next phase of openings will bump things back up a bit, but we are here to say that we are going to keep holding onto the SLOW. Many small businesses (us included) are still operating with waaay fewer staff than before (thanks CERB...yep it's great for lots of reasons, and not great for lots of reasons...) and we just don't have the ability to produce or serve at the pre-covid pace. Side note: food production, distribution, and service has been undervalued for far too long in this country, and hopefully this situation will allow non-food people to begin to see that. SOOooooo here's to keepin' it real AND SLOW.
